Sent U.S. & Certified Mail <br />2566 E Collier Rd. <br />Acampo, CA 95220 <br />Subject: Solid waste disposal at 2566 E Collier Rd., Acampo CA 95220 <br />A complaint has been received by the San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department (EHD) alleging that <br />you are responsible for a public health violation at 2566 E Collier Rd., Acampo CA 95220. The complaint alleges <br />that an illegal veterinarian operation was conducted at the property mentioned above. The complaint also states <br />improper solid waste and possible medical waste is disposed on the property. Photographic evidence received by <br />the EHD from the Sheriffs Department confirmed the improper/ unpermitted disposal of solid waste on the <br />premises. <br />Improper disposal of medical waste is not a permitted practice under the Medical Waste Management Act <br />(MWMA). The MWMA also states such items are required to be segregated prior to the appropriate disposal <br />method. The California Department of Public Health (CDPH) has a list of Registered Trauma Scene Waste <br />Management Practitioners that are qualified in the segregation and disposal of such material. The list of registered <br />practitioners can be found at: <br />https://www.cdph.ca.gov/Programs/CEH/DRSEM/CDPH%20Document%20Library/EMB/MedicalWaste <br />/Practioners 031023 .pdf <br />Effective immediately, remove all solid waste to an approved disposal location and remove all medical waste from <br />this location by an approved registered practitioner. Provide EHD with disposal receipts within 30 days of solid <br />waste and medical waste removal. All public health violations must be corrected immediately. <br />If further complaints are received, an investigation will be conducted which may result in legal action being <br />taken at a rate of $156.00 an hour.
