All violations must be corrected within specified timeframe. Violations that are classified as "MAJOR" pose an immediate threat to public health <br />and have the potential to cause foodborne illness. All major violations must be corrected immediately. Non-compliance may warrant immediate closure of <br />the food facility. <br /> #21 Hot and Cold Potable Water Not Available MAJOR <br />OBSERVATIONS: The hot water was shut off at the prep sink and restroom hand sink. Ensure hot water is always available <br />at the hand sink at 100 F minimum and at the prep sink at 120 F minimum. Corrected on site. <br />CALCODE DESCRIPTION: An adequate, protected, pressurized, potable supply of hot water and cold water shall be provided at all times. <br />(113953(c), 114099.2(b) 114101(a), 114189, 114192, 114192.1, 114195) <br /> #1 Demonstration of Knowledge <br />OBSERVATIONS: One of the employee's food handler certificate was not on site. Obtain copy and maintain on site. Correct <br />within 14 days. <br />CALCODE DESCRIPTION: All food employees shall have adequate knowledge of and be trained in food safety as it relates to their <br />assigned duties. (113947) Food facilities that prepare, handle or serve non-prepackaged potentially hazardous food, shall have an <br />employee who has passed an approved food safety certification examination. (113947-113947.1) Any food handler hired after June 1, <br />2011 shall obtain a Food Handler Card within 30 days (113948). <br /> #27 Food Protected from Contamination <br />OBSERVATIONS: Observed a meat slicer on the prep table less than 24 inches from hand sink in the kitchen. The hand <br />sink and table were not separated by a splashguard. Provide a metal splashguard six inches in height from front edge to <br />back edge to avoid food contamination. Correct within 30 days. <br />CALCODE DESCRIPTION: All food shall be separated and protected from contamination. (113984 (a, b, c, d, f), 113986, 114060, <br />114067(a, d, e, j), 114069(a, b), 114077, 114089.1 (c), 114143 (c)) <br /> #45 Floors, Walls, Ceilings; Clean and Maintained <br />OBSERVATIONS: Observed the water-damaged ceiling panels in the hallway leading to the employee restroom have not <br />yet been replaced. This is a repeat violation from 06-09-2022 consultation inspection. Repair/Replace the damaged panels <br />within 30 days. <br />CALCODE DESCRIPTION: The walls / ceilings shall have durable, smooth, nonabsorbent, light-colored, and washable surfaces. All floor <br />surfaces, other than the customer service areas, shall be approved, smooth, durable and made of nonabsorbent material that is easily <br />cleanable. Approved base coving shall be provided in all areas, except customer service areas and where food is stored in original <br />unopened containers. Food facilities shall be fully enclosed. All food facilities shall be kept clean and in good repair.
