All violations must be corrected within specified timeframe. Violations that are classified as "MAJOR" pose an immediate threat to public health <br />and must be corrected immediately or be subject to closure pursuant to California Code of Regulations (Title 22) section 65545. <br /> #10 Disinfectant Residual MAJOR <br />OBSERVATIONS: The chlorine level at the wading pool was measured at 1.8 PPM. Provide and maintain 3 – 10 ppm <br />chlorine level for the wading pool. Pool was closed while maintenance personnel corrected chlorine level. Observed wading <br />pool at 3 ppm toward end of inspection. Pool is okay to reopen. <br />Corrected on Site. <br />CALCODE DESCRIPTION: Public pools, when open or in use, shall be disinfected continuously by approved chemicals and shall maintain <br />the following concentrations: 1.0 ppm to 10.0 ppm free chlorine without cyanuric acid, 2.0 ppm to 10.0 ppm free chlorine with cyanuric acid <br />or 2.0 ppm bromine. Spas, wading pools, and spray grounds shall maintain the following concentrations: 3.0 ppm to 10.0 ppm free <br />chlorine or 4.0 ppm bromine. (CCR 65529) <br /> #35 Flow Meters <br />OBSERVATIONS: The indicator on the flow meter is currently not clearly readable. Clear or repair meter to ensure the flow <br />meter is functioning and easily readable. Correct within 30 days. <br />CALCODE DESCRIPTION: Flow meters shall be provided on each recirculation system and shall be installed in accordance with <br />manufacturer's specifications. (CBC 3125B) <br /> #38 Filter Cleaning and Maintenance <br />OBSERVATIONS: The influent and effluent meter is currently reading at a difference of 10 psi or more. Clean and <br />backwash filtration system to ensure proper function. Correct within seven days. <br />CALCODE DESCRIPTION: All filters shall be maintained in accordance with manufacturer's specifications. (CBC 3123B) Pressure gauge <br />located on the filter shall be marked with the clean startup reading. (CBC 3125B) Each filter vessel shall be provided with valves so that it <br />can be isolated from the recirculation system for repairs and backwashing.
