Environmental Health Department <br />Time In: <br />11:40 am <br />11:00 am <br />Time Out: <br />Program Element: 3611 - PUBLIC POOL/SPA - PRIMARY <br />Telephone: (209) 951-4391 Owner/Operator: PATMON COMPANY INC <br />Inspection Type: ROUTINE INSPECTION - Operating Permit <br />Address: 8429 MARINERS DR, STOCKTON 95219 <br />Date: 07/18/2023Name of Facility: HARBOR ISLE APARTMENTS <br />Swimming Pool Official Inspection Report <br />VIOLATIONS AND CORRECTIVE ACTIONS <br />Items listed on this report as violations do not meet the requirements set forth in the California Health and Safety Code section(s) 116043, 116040, & <br />116050. All violations must be corrected within specified timeframe. Violations that are classified as "MAJOR" pose an immediate threat to public health <br />and must be corrected immediately or be subject to closure pursuant to California Code of Regulations (Title 22) section 65545. <br /> #12 pH Level MAJOR <br />OBSERVATIONS: The pH was below 7. Provide pH between 7.2-7.8 when operating. Corrected on site, pH was 7.4. <br />CALCODE DESCRIPTION: Pool operator shall maintain pH between 7.2 and 7.8. (CCR 65530) <br /> #2 Pool Enclosure <br />OBSERVATIONS: Observed missing vertical fence beam on south side of enclosure and bottom horizontal beam was <br />rusted/deteriorated. Repair/replace fence within 1 week. <br />CALCODE DESCRIPTION: Pool area shall be enclosed by one or more of the following: a fence, portion of a building, wall, or other <br />approved durable enclosure. Pool enclosure shall be constructed over a hard permanent material equivalent to concrete and shall be <br />installed no more than 2 inches above the finished grade. Holes, gaps, or openings in the enclosure shall not allow the passage of a <br />4-inch diameter sphere. Doors, openable windows, or gates of living quarters shall not be permitted as part of the pool enclosure. (CBC <br />3119B) Pool operator shall keep the pool enclosure well maintained. (CCR 65535) Pool enclosure shall have a minimum effective <br />perpendicular height of 5 feet and shall be constructed so that it cannot be climbed by small children. Horizontal members shall be spaced <br />at least 48 inches apart. No planters or other climbable structures shall be permitted within 5 feet of the pool enclosure or within a 5-foot <br />arc. Chain link openings shall not be larger than 1 3/4 inches when measured horizontally. Pool enclosures with a height of 4 or more feet <br />are allowed if the enclosure was constructed prior to July 1994. (CBC 3119B) <br /> #7 Pool Deck <br />OBSERVATIONS: Observed gaps between pool deck and coping. Seal/repair within 2 weeks. <br />CALCODE DESCRIPTION: An unobstructed 4-foot wide deck of concrete or like material shall be provided and maintained flush with the <br />top of the pool coping. Deck shall extend completely around the pool and shall further extend 4 feet on both sides and to the rear of any <br />diving board, ADA device, or slide. (CBC 3114B) Pool operator shall keep the pool deck well maintained. (CCR 65535) <br /> #8 Pool and Deck Lighting <br />OBSERVATIONS: The pool light was not working. Provide working pool light within 1 week and test GFCI. <br />CALCODE DESCRIPTION: Pools used at night shall be equipped with underwater light fixtures that provide complete illumination of the <br />pool. When a pool is used at night, pool deck and emergency egress areas shall be provided with lighting. If underwater or deck lighting is <br />not operational, the pool operator shall post a sign in 4-inch letters stating "NO USE OF POOL ALLOWED AFTER DARK" and shall <br />secure the pool area and not permit any use of the pool after dark.
