All violations must be corrected within specified timeframe. Violations that are classified as "MAJOR" pose an immediate threat to public health <br />and must be corrected immediately or be subject to closure pursuant to California Code of Regulations (Title 22) section 65545. <br /> #4 Safety Equipment <br />OBSERVATIONS: Life ring is deteriorated. Replace life ring within 1 week. <br />CALCODE DESCRIPTION: Safety equipment shall be provided, maintained, readily visible, and available for use. Pools shall have at <br />minimum one 12 foot fixed-length rescue pole with a permanently attached body hook and one 17-inch life ring with an attached throw <br />rope. Throw rope shall be of sufficient length to span the maximum width of the pool and shall be stored to prevent kinking or fouling. <br />(CCR 65540) <br /> #7 Pool Deck <br />OBSERVATIONS: Observed vegetation between pool deck pads. Remove and keep deck free of vegetation. <br />CALCODE DESCRIPTION: An unobstructed 4-foot wide deck of concrete or like material shall be provided and maintained flush with the <br />top of the pool coping. Deck shall extend completely around the pool and shall further extend 4 feet on both sides and to the rear of any <br />diving board, ADA device, or slide. (CBC 3114B) Pool operator shall keep the pool deck well maintained. (CCR 65535) <br /> #17 Cleanliness of Pool <br />OBSERVATIONS: Observed black algae on bottom and sides of pool. Keep pool surfaces clean and free of slime and <br />algae. <br />CALCODE DESCRIPTION: Pool operator shall maintain clean pool water while the pool is in use and shall not allow debris to accumulate <br />in the pool. Pool operator shall clean the bottom, sides, and other surfaces of the pool as often as necessary to keep pool surfaces clean <br />and free of slime and algae. (CCR 65533) <br /> #18 Pool Shell and Tile <br />OBSERVATIONS: Observed cracks between coping and waterline tiles at deep end of pool. Seal cracks within 2 weeks. <br />Observed chipping on north side of pool. Replaster pool shell by next year. <br />CALCODE DESCRIPTION: Pool shells shall be white and have a smooth waterproof interior finish that will withstand repeated brushing, <br />and scrubbing. A spa pool may be finished in a light color other than white when approved by the enforcement agency.
