The truck has release approximately 20 gallons of diesel and is <br />stationary on the right shoulder of the road. No watery ways or storm drain <br />impacted. Discus incident with Lead Senior and let the CHP officer know that EHD <br />will be responding to the incident. The D person was to take over the complaint. E <br />mailed Fred Ernest the complaint form 5104 and brief him on the incident. <br />At approximately 4.35pm received a phone call from CHP finding out an <br />approximate ETA. I let the CHP know someone is on his way and will get there in <br />the next about 30minutes. Called and let Fred Know CHP were still on site waiting <br />for EHD to respond. <br />12/08/2022 Received 5105 from Paul Nso indicating an unknown amount of diesel was spilled ERNEST <br />from a semi truck accident. <br />12/08/2022 A cab over semi-truck with a damage saddle tank was observed on the shoulder. ERNEST <br />Observed 20 gallon diesel spill located on the north shoulder with absorbent <br />applied. Dirt shoulder and asphalt were affected. A small trail of diesel was <br />observed on the road, leading to the shoulder. Spill had been contained by 4:50 <br />PM. Main area affected was on the dirt shoulder. Drips of diesel fuel were on the <br />road side. Juan J. Armendarez District Hazmat Manager Hazardous Materials <br />Specialist from Caltrans arrived on site and applied a tarp over the spill on the <br />north shoulder. A contractor, All Environmental, has been contracted for clean-up. <br />Clean up is indicated to occur within the next week. Notice to abate was issued on <br />site to the trucking company, Sierra Wood Shavings, Richard Winkler Manager, <br />at richard.winkler@nnulchstock.com. <br />12/15/2022 Arrived on site at approximatively 10:30. Returned to site at approximately 12:30. ERNEST <br />7 to 8 yards non-hazardous waste going to Chowchilla Road base did use plus <br />compaction as per county road maintenance Arrived on site early due to <br />miscommunication with one from Caltrans indicated to verify cleanup to show up <br />was referring to Oakdale site All Environmental is going to provide analytical's for <br />the soil samples collected. Called Dan Makeiver County road manager, asking if <br />there were any issues with the excavation of soil near the county road way. Dan <br />M. indicated there are no issues with the excavation as long as they used a similar <br />material or road base to fill, and that it is compacted.
