Contact the local fire department, the San Joaquin Valley Air Pollution Control District, and the <br />San Joaquin County Community Development Department for any applicable permits and <br />requirements. <br />2. Any changes in information and scope of work must be submitted to EHD for approval prior to <br />commencing work. All new addenda supersede the previous ones. <br />3. Provide written notification to ust@sjgov.org to arrange the following inspection appointments <br />(a 48-hour notice is required for inspection appointments). <br />a. Verification of removal of all residual liquids, solids, or sludges <br />b. Verification that tank is cleaned to Title 22 CCR 67383.3(e)(2) standards <br />c. Verification of tank(s) inerted to levels that shall preclude explosion <br />d. Witness removal of tank and any applicable piping and components <br />e. Verification of tank ID number marked on the tank end using fluorescent spray paint <br />f. Witness soil and/or water sampling <br />4. Inert UST with 30 pounds of dry <br />ice per 1,000 gallon volume after triple rinsing. <br />5. The contractor shall provide the following: <br />a. Combustible/Flammable gas detector (to verify the lower explosive limit (LEL) <br />atmosphere and oxygen level of tank prior to lifting from excavation) <br />b. Adequate number(s) and appropriate type(s) of fire extinguisher(s) <br />c. Barriers to secure the area as necessary to minimize traffic and pedestrian interference <br />d.
