All violations must be corrected within specified timeframe. Violations that are classified as "MAJOR" pose an immediate threat to public health <br />and must be corrected immediately or be subject to closure pursuant to California Code of Regulations (Title 22) section 65545. <br /> #10 Disinfectant Residual MAJOR <br />OBSERVATIONS: Free chlorine was observed below 1 ppm. Adjust to 1-10 ppm. This was corrected on site. Free <br />chlorine was 1.2 ppm after correction. <br />CALCODE DESCRIPTION: Public pools, when open or in use, shall be disinfected continuously by approved chemicals and shall maintain <br />the following concentrations: 1.0 ppm to 10.0 ppm free chlorine without cyanuric acid, 2.0 ppm to 10.0 ppm free chlorine with cyanuric acid <br />or 2.0 ppm bromine. Spas, wading pools, and spray grounds shall maintain the following concentrations: 3.0 ppm to 10.0 ppm free <br />chlorine or 4.0 ppm bromine. (CCR 65529) <br /> #37 Electrical Hazards MAJOR <br />OBSERVATIONS: Pool light was detached from the pool wall. This was corrected on site. <br />CALCODE DESCRIPTION: Electrical equipment installed in the water, walls, deck, or equipment room of a public pool shall comply with <br />California Electrical Code. (CEC 680.4) Light fixtures installed in the pool that operate at more than 15 volts shall be protected by a ground <br />fault circuit interrupter. (CBC 3160B) <br /> #3 Safety Signs <br />OBSERVATIONS: A CPR safety sign and a sign with pool capacity and name and location was lacking. All safety signs <br />shall be posted. Post safety signs today. <br />CALCODE DESCRIPTION: Pool operator shall keep safety signs well maintained. (CCR 65535) Safety signs shall have clearly legible <br />letters or numbers not less than 4 inches high, unless otherwise specified. Safety signs shall be affixed to a wall, pole, gate, or similar <br />permanent structure in a location visible to all pool users, unless otherwise specified. (CBC 3120B) <br /> #17 Cleanliness of Pool <br />OBSERVATIONS: Algae was observed in the pool. Clean pool today. Maintain clean. <br />CALCODE DESCRIPTION: Pool operator shall maintain clean pool water while the pool is in use and shall not allow debris to accumulate <br />in the pool. Pool operator shall clean the bottom, sides, and other surfaces of the pool as often as necessary to keep pool surfaces clean <br />and free of slime and algae.
