The containers <br /> were: <br /> -Two blue 55 gallon steel drums containing used oil had hazardous waste labels missing the words"hazardous <br /> waste," physical state, hazardous property, name and address of the generator, and the accumulation start date. <br /> -One blue 55 gallon poly drum containing used antifreeze had a hazardous waste label missing the words <br /> "hazardous waste,"physical state, hazardous property, name and address of the generator, and the accumulation <br /> start date. <br /> -One black 55 gallon steel drum containing used paper oil filters had a drum missing a hazardous waste label. <br /> -Two 30 gallon metal cans and two 5 gallon metal cans containing oily absorbent and rags were missing hazardous <br /> waste labels. <br /> REGULATION GUIDANCE: All hazardous waste containers shall be marked with the following information: the <br /> words"Hazardous Waste", name and address of generator, hazardous properties, physical state, composition <br /> (contents), accumulation start date <br /> CORRECTIVE ACTION: Immediately label the containers as required for hazardous waste. Provide a corrective <br /> action statement and supporting documentation to the San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department <br /> (EHD)within 30 days. <br /> This is a repeat violation, Class II. <br /> 608 CCR 66266.130 Failed to properly manage used oil filters or fuel filters. <br /> OBSERVATION: Containers of used metal oil or fuel filters out of compliance with the storage rules were observed <br /> on-site. The following used metal oil or fuel filter containers were on-site: <br /> -metal oil filters were observed on the ground and being piled up <br /> -one green 55 gallon steel drum containing used metal oil filters was missing a label <br /> REGULATION GUIDANCE: <br /> Title 22 California Code of Regulations section 66266.130 Management of Used Oil Filters. <br /> California Health&Safety Code section 25250.22 Fuel Filters <br /> CORRECTIVE ACTION: Immediately drain all metal oil and fuel filters of free-flowing liquid and store them in <br /> closed, rainproof containers. Label the green 55 gallon container noted above with the words"drained used oil <br /> filters"or"used gasoline filters", depending on the contents. Mark the container with an accumulation start date. <br /> Dispose of all used filters stored on-site greater than one year. Used filters not stored, handled and disposed of <br /> according to this section are regulated as hazardous waste.
