All violations must be corrected within specified timeframe. Violations that are classified as "MAJOR" pose an immediate threat to public health <br />and must be corrected immediately or be subject to closure pursuant to California Code of Regulations (Title 22) section 65545. <br /> #10 Disinfectant Residual MAJOR <br />OBSERVATIONS: Free chlorine is above 10 ppm. Adjust to 3 ppm to 10 ppm. This was corrected on site. Free chlorine at <br />3 ppm after adjustment. (REPEAT) <br />CALCODE DESCRIPTION: Public pools, when open or in use, shall be disinfected continuously by approved chemicals and shall maintain <br />the following concentrations: 1.0 ppm to 10.0 ppm free chlorine without cyanuric acid, 2.0 ppm to 10.0 ppm free chlorine with cyanuric acid <br />or 2.0 ppm bromine. Spas, wading pools, and spray grounds shall maintain the following concentrations: 3.0 ppm to 10.0 ppm free <br />chlorine or 4.0 ppm bromine. (CCR 65529) <br /> #37 Electrical Hazards MAJOR <br />OBSERVATIONS: The ground fault circuit interrupter (GFI) does not work when tested. Repair GFI so that it is in good <br />working order today. This was corrected on site. Power to spa light was disconnected by electrician and "No Night <br />Swimming" sign was posted. <br />CALCODE DESCRIPTION: Electrical equipment installed in the water, walls, deck, or equipment room of a public pool shall comply with <br />California Electrical Code. (CEC 680.4) Light fixtures installed in the pool that operate at more than 15 volts shall be protected by a ground <br />fault circuit interrupter. (CBC 3160B) <br /> #13 Cyanuric Acid Concentration <br />OBSERVATIONS: Cyanuric acid is above 100 ppm. Adjust to below 100 ppm. Correct today. (REPEAT) <br />CALCODE DESCRIPTION: Pool operator shall maintain cyanuric acid concentration between 0.0 ppm and 100 ppm. (CCR 65530) <br /> #18 Pool Shell and Tile <br />OBSERVATIONS: Pitting observed in spa shell. Plan to re-plaster spa in the future. <br />CALCODE DESCRIPTION: Pool shells shall be white and have a smooth waterproof interior finish that will withstand repeated brushing, <br />and scrubbing. A spa pool may be finished in a light color other than white when approved by the enforcement agency.
