Rare Plant Survey Report Griffith Energy Storage Project <br /> Conservation,California Geological Survey 2002).The Project site is located within the San Joaquin <br /> Valley subregion of the Great Valley(Jepson Flora Project[eds.] 2022). <br /> 1.1.3 Land Use <br /> Based on historical aerial imagery(Google Earth©),the Project site has consisted of herbaceous <br /> vegetation and has been used for grazing since 1985.Three houses were built within the Project site <br /> between 1993 and 2003.The topography of the Project site appears unchanged throughout this <br /> period and is comprised of four hills with slopes of 25 percent or less.The Project site is annually <br /> grazed by cattle and also has three onsite houses with ornamental landscaping.The area of the <br /> Project site within San Joaquin County is designated as agriculture and open space land (San Joaquin <br /> County Community Development Department 2013),and the portion in Alameda County is designated <br /> as an unincorporated,wind-resource area (ICF International 2010). Surrounding land uses consist of <br /> agriculture,open space,and developed land.The elevational range of the Project site is <br /> approximately 300 to 500 feet above mean sea level. <br /> OTETRA TECH 2 July 2023 <br />
