Rare Plant Survey Report Griffith Energy Storage Project
2.0 PROJECT DESCRIPTION
Griffith Energy proposes to construct and operate a 400-megawatt battery energy storage system,
substations, and associated infrastructure on approximately 20 acres of a 132-acre site of privately-
owned land. Only 128.6 acres of grazing land are available for Project development because 3.4 acres
of the Project site consist of residential plots. The precise locations of the facilities and access roads
have not been determined as this time.
The Project would include the construction of:
• Battery energy storage system
• Project electrical substations
• Accessroads
• Generation tie line
• Perimeter fencing
Construction would include site preparation, grading, preparing staging areas, and construction of
the Project.A conceptual design of the Project would be completed prior to initiating the permitting
and California Environmental Quality Act process and the design may be refined during the process.
OTETRA TECH 6 July 2023
