MOUNTAIN HOUSE MASTER PIAN <br /> h) The majority of neighborhoods shall be separated by Arterial streets with <br /> only Local or Collector streets occurring within the neighborhood. As much <br /> as possible, neighborhood boundaries shall also delineate the attendance <br /> boundaries of each K-8 school, thereby minimizing the need to crass <br /> Arterial streets to gain access to the school serving that neighborhood. <br /> Neighborh❑❑d AIB is an exception where Central Parkway,a minorArterial, <br /> passes through the neighborhood. <br /> D) Pach of the ten family neighborhoods, and the two mixed active aduit and <br /> family neighborhoods when taken together, shall be sized to support one <br /> K-8 school with the exception of the combined Neighborhood AIB. <br /> e) Each neighborhood shall include a mix of residential housing types, for <br /> residents with a variety of income levels, providing diversAy and choice for <br /> residents. <br /> tJ Higher density housing shall be concentrated within and near the Town <br /> Center, and near commercial and industrial centers, near places of higher <br /> education, opportunities for transit facilities, and open space amenities <br /> such as the Mountain House Creek corridor. <br /> g) Lower density housing shall be generally located near the western edge of <br /> the community closer to agricultural areas or in areas of existing residential <br /> development. It shall be located away from the Town Center, Village <br /> Center commercial uses and Central Parkway. <br /> h) Within neighborhoods, RIM uses shall generally be located nearest the <br /> Town Center, Central Parkway, and Village Commercial Centers, as <br /> applicable. <br /> h) The Master Plan Map combines Low density Residential and Me*jm <br /> Density Residential (RlL, RIM) General Pian designations to allow for <br /> flexibility in the design of neighborhoods_ These uses shall be delineated <br /> separately at the Specific Plan stage. Acreage allocations for RIL and RW <br /> shall be approximately as shown on Tables 3.1, 3.2, acid 3.3. <br /> j) Open space connections shall be provided from neighborhoods to <br /> community parks and other open space areas, such as Mountain House <br /> Creek linear park. These connections may consist of linear parks, multi- <br /> use paths, trails, local streets with sidewalks, or bikeways. All residential <br /> areas abutting Mountain House Creek Community Park shall provide <br /> convenient,frequent access to the park from adjacent streets. <br /> k) Bicycle and pedestrian acoass shall be provided between neighborhoods <br /> and community-wide destinations such as community shopping centers, <br /> schools, the Town Center and churches.
