All residents are within a half-mile radius of a Neighborhood Park, An 6,5 <br /> acre park is proposed betweeF4h@ two IE4 Nelghborh❑❑d Af13. An additional 2.6 acre park is <br /> proposed of east and west❑f the park site in a location,adjoining Grant Une Village,west of Central <br /> Parkway to accommodate the resfdonts in this area, <br /> The$.5 acre park will have typical Neighborhood Park uses,including two park areas each 2.5 acres <br /> In sire for j❑int use by the K-8 school- The Neighborhood Park will indude balffieldG, smalt picnic <br /> areas, a tot-lot, 1-6cs play area, possible game courts, and jogging trails. A trail connection will be <br /> provided from this Neighborhood Park to the Community Park along the power line easement that <br /> runs adjacent to both park areas. Crossings of thisopen space corridor will be provided far emergency <br /> vehicle access routes. <br /> The 2.6 acre west Neighborhood Park will include a totlot,kids play area,plonloareas,possible game <br /> courts,and open space uses. A pedestrian trail connection will be developed to provide pedostfian <br /> access from this Neighborhood Park to the Commurilty Parkthmugh controlled roadway intersections, <br /> where necessary. <br /> The west Neighborhood Park(see Figure 7-3: West Park Plan)will provide for the recreation needs <br /> of the residential enclaves west of Central Parkway, reducing their need to cross an arterial street. <br /> The 2.5 acre park provider,for passive park space with a tot-lot, picnic and open space play area_ <br /> Blufftop seating will be provided overlooking the neighborhood. The gas easement that orrises the <br /> edge of the park,will become part of the open space corridor system linking the west Neighborhood <br /> Park to the Community Park and neighborhood center through a controlled intersection at Central <br /> Parkway. <br /> 7.2.2.3 Implementation Measures <br /> a. Facilities and Design Criteria for Neighborhood Parks shall be consistent with the Parks, <br /> Recreation and Leisure Plan and the MHCSD Design Manual. The design of the parks should <br /> respond to To needs of neighborhood residents as surveyed by the MHCSD per their Parks, <br /> Recreation and Leisure Plan. <br /> b. Construction of Neighborhood Parks shall begin no laterthan.The time at which 50%of To dwelling <br /> units for NelghbarhoDd AS separate from Naliqhboftod❑y or school attendance area,whichever <br /> Is sooner,have had their final Inspection.
