Environmental Health Department <br />Hazardous Materials Program Inspection Report <br />Date: <br />September 22, 2023 <br /> Facility Address: <br /> 942 S STOCKTON AVE, RIPON <br /> Facility Name: <br /> DIAMOND PET FOOD - RIPON <br />SUMMARY OF VIOLATIONS <br />(CLASS I, CLASS II, or MINOR - Notice to Comply) <br />RemarksItem # <br /> 5 HSC 25505(a)(1) Failed to electronically submit hazardous materials inventory for all reportable materials on site. <br />OBSERVATION: 200 gallons of latex paint, 55 gallons of flammable aerosol paint waste, 110 gallons of monster <br />degreaser, and 110 gallons of 730 liquid catalyzed sulfite were found on site that have not been reported to CERS. <br />Add the above materials on the inventory. Series 622 cooling water treatment max daily amount is listed at 110 <br />gallons but needs to be listed at 220 gallons. Series 622 cooling water treatment needs the water chiller added to <br />the location. Ammonia has 200 cubic cubic feet listed as the max daily. The max daily for ammonia should be listed <br />at 100 pounds per cylinder and there are four cylinders so the max daily amount needs to be listed at 400 pounds. <br />REGULATION GUIDANCE: Any material that meets or exceeds the reportable quantity shall be reported in the <br />facility's business plan. <br />CORRECTIVE ACTIONS: Immediately log into the California Environmental Reporting System (CERS) at <br />http://cers.calepa.ca.gov/, add the materials to the hazardous material inventory, and submit to the EHD for <br />approval. <br />This is a repeat violation, Class II. <br /> 6 HSC 25505(a)(2) Failed to electronically submit a site map with all required content. <br />OBSERVATION: A site map was not complete. Symbols and acronyms need to be identified in a site map key or <br />legend. Entrances and exits to structures, emergency shut offs/ utility shut offs (water, natural gas, and power, <br />ailment dl methionine hydroxy system, aqua ammonia system, phosphoric acid system, sodium bromide and <br />sodium hypochlorite system, and both diesel tanks), emergency response equipment locations for all (first aid kits, <br />fire extinguishers, eye wash, safety showers, and spill kit locations.), and the locations of 200 gallons of latex paint, <br />55 gallons of aerosol paint waste, 110 gallons of monster cleaner, and the 100 gallons of 730 liquid catalyzed sulfite. <br />REGULATION GUIDANCE: A site map shall contain a north orientation, loading areas, internal roads, adjacent <br />streets, storm and sewer drains, access and exit points, emergency shutoffs, evacuation staging areas, hazardous <br />material handling and storage areas, and emergency response equipment. <br /> If a site map element is not applicable for your facility then list it on the map and label as “NA". <br />CORRECTIVE ACTION: Immediately log into the California Environmental Reporting System (CERS) at <br />http://cers.calepa.ca.gov/, upload the correct or updated information, and submit to the EHD for approval. <br />This is a minor violation. <br />FA0007683 PR0520428 SC001 09/22/2023 <br />EHD 19-01 Rev. 12/06/2021 Hazardous Materials Program OIRPage 2 of 3 <br />1868 E.
