Disposal Facility (Site) Inspection Report (52) <br /> North County Landfill & Recycling Center (39-AA-0022) <br /> 3/29/2023 <br /> water on the landfill areas. <br /> Inspection Report Comments <br /> 1. Measured methane levels at west side landfill gas monitoring wells#2 and#3 and found 0% in each probe <br /> (three per well). <br /> 3. No prohibited waste was observed at the active face. <br /> 4. Observed traffic control and load check employees near the active face. <br /> 4. Reviewed the following records: Training within the last month, chipped and ground wood waste temperature/ <br /> turning log, chipped and ground wood waste waste throughput tonnages and the Log of Special Occurrences. <br /> 5. Pathogen Reduction/Maximum Metals Concentrations /Physical Contamination Limits testing was last done <br /> May 20, 2022 on the chipped and ground wood waste that will be land applied. Testing is required every 5,000 <br /> cubic yards and once a year. Facility records indicate that seventy-five cubic yards was generated in February, <br /> 2023. Title 14 CCR sections 17868.1 to 17868.5. <br /> 6. The facility did not exceed their permitted tonnage or vehicle limits in February 2023 per records provided by <br /> Public Works. Previous Violation cleared. <br /> 7. Fire extinguisher in the wood grinding area was discharged and needed replacement.
