Alternative daily cover tarps were in good condition and covered the active face. Tarps <br /> were removed at 6:45 am. <br /> 2. Water truck was operating for dust control. <br /> 3. Sheep on-site in closed landfill areas for vegetation control. <br /> 4. Green waste was being chipped and ground during the inspection. <br /> 5. Pathogen Reduction / Maximum Metals Concentrations / Physical Contamination Limits <br /> testing was last done May 20, 2022 on the chipped and ground wood waste that will be land <br /> applied. Testing is required every 5,000 cubic yards and once a year. Sampling for testing is <br /> due by May 20, 2023. Title 14 CCR sections 17868.1 to 17868.5. <br /> 6. Green waste records indicated that 42 cubic yards were shipped off site for retail sale in <br /> March. <br /> 7. The operators mentioned last month that a landfill gas (LFG) collection system and <br /> replacement LFG flare are being installed soon. Placing this equipment into operation will <br /> constitute a significant change to the design and operation of the facility which requires a RFI <br /> amendment. Submit an RFI amendment application package to the San Joaquin County <br /> Environmental Health Department (SJCEHD) at least 180 days prior to planning to putting the <br /> LFG collection system into operation. Do not place the unit into operation until the RFI <br /> amendment package is approved by the SJCEHD. <br /> 8. Soil gas monitoring well #3 was measured. Deep probe: 0.1% methane, 0.2% carbon <br /> dioxide, 20.3% oxygen; intermediate probe: 0.0% methane, 0.7% carbon dioxide, 19.3% <br /> oxygen; shallow probe: 0.0% methane, 1.2% carbon dioxide, 18.1% oxygen. <br /> 9. Soil gas monitoring well #22 was measured.
