sensitive critical medical emergency to a select target group of the Workforce. <br /> Sutter Health Emergency Management System (SHEMS) provides system-level disaster management <br /> guidance and support to promote the continuity of patient care services and initiate the recovery process <br /> in the event of a disaster. <br /> System Stakeholder Group means a group of Sutter leaders that meet on a regular basis to collaborate <br /> on issues and initiatives related to a specific service line or program (e.g., system-wide emergency <br /> preparedness coordinators, emergency department leadership or patient care council). <br /> Workforce means employees, practitioners,volunteers,trainees, and other persons whose conduct, in <br /> the performance of work for the covered entity is under the direct control of such entity, whether or not <br /> paid by the covered entity. <br /> PROCEDURE <br /> A. Standardized Emergency Codes and Medical Codes/Alerts. <br /> 1. Standard Emergency Codes are defined as follows.- <br /> Emergency <br /> ollows:Emergency Code Definition and Announcement <br /> CODE GRAY Combative Person (aggressive, hostile, combative or <br /> potentially combative persons) <br /> ANNOUNCEMENT: "Code Gray-location" <br /> CODE ORANGE Hazardous Material Spill/Release <br /> ANNOUNCEMENT: "Code Orange- Hazardous Materials <br /> Spill/Release-location" <br /> CODE PINK Infant Missing or Abducted (infants/children up to two (2) <br /> years of age) <br /> ANNOUNCEMENT: "Code Pink last seen -location and <br /> description (e.g. age, gender, race,) of missing infant and <br /> description (e.g. age, gender, race, clothing) of individual <br /> that may be with (if available)." <br /> CODE PURPLE Child/Adult Missing or Abducted (child/adult over the age <br /> of two (2)) <br /> ANNOUNCEMENT: "Code Purple (child or adult) -last <br /> seen -location and description (e.g. age, gender, race, <br /> clothing)" <br /> CODE RED Fire <br /> ANNOUNCEMENT: "Code Red -location" <br /> CODE SILVER Person with a Non-firearm Weapon and/or Hostage <br /> Situation <br /> ANNOUNCEMENT: "Code Silver-location. A security <br /> threat exists at location. All persons should immediately <br /> move away from that location if it is safe to do so.
