S A N J 0 A Q I I I Irl Environmental Health Department <br /> CCUN r <br /> Small Quantity Hazardous Waste Generator Inspection Report <br /> Facility Name: Facility Address: Date: <br /> CORONADO STONE PRODUCTS 1 1029 S SACRAMENTO ST, LODI September 25, 2023 <br /> SUMMARY OF VIOLATIONS <br /> (CLASS I,CLASS II,or MINOR-Notice to Comply) <br /> Item# Remarks <br /> 404 CCR 66262.34(d)(2) Failed to inspect hazardous waste storage areas at least weekly. <br /> OBSERVATION: The following facility hazardous waste containers are not inspected weekly: <br /> -One black 55 gallons metal drum is full of used oil and without labels. <br /> -One black 55 gallons metal drum was open and without labels. <br /> -Two yellow, metal 55 gallon drums are opened and are without labels. <br /> -Per Steven Cox,there is a binder of weekly inspections but it have not been completed. <br /> REGULATION GUIDANCE: The owner or operator shall inspect areas used for container storage or transfer, at <br /> least weekly, looking for leaking containers and for deterioration of containers and the containment system caused <br /> by corrosion or other factors. <br /> CORRECTIVE ACTION: Immediately,the following containers need to be closed or taken out of services. <br /> Provide a corrective action statement and supporting documentation to the San Joaquin County Environmental <br /> Health Department within 30 days. <br /> This is a Class II violation. <br /> 406 CCR 66261.7 Empty hazardous waste or material container greater than 5 gallons not managed per this section. <br /> OBSERVATION: The facility had multiple poly and metal empty drums that are not marked or managed. The <br /> following are observed: <br /> -Two white 55 gallons poly drums are empty in the maintenance yard without labels with the word "empty". <br /> -One black 55 gallon metal drum is empty in the maintenance yard without labels with the word "empty". <br /> REGULATION GUIDANCE: Empty containers which previously held a hazardous material, including hazardous <br /> waste must be managed per Title 22 California Code of Regulations(CCR)section 66261.7. Refer to this section <br /> and California Department of Toxic Substances Control guidance for more information. <br /> CORRECTIVE ACTION: Immediately label all empty containers with the date they were emptied and manage <br /> within one year of that date. Manage the container per Title 22 CCR section 66261.7.
