TGI — Indoor Air, Ambient Air, Sub-Slab Vapor, and Soil Vapor 04ARCADIS <br /> Sampling for Analysis via USEPA Compendium Method TO-10A <br /> Rev: 0 1 Rev Date: March 10, 2023 <br /> • 12-inches per sample location: 1/4-inch inner diameter (ID) silicone tubing. <br /> • Box, chair, tripod, or similar to hold sampler above the ground surface at approximate breathing height(3-5 <br /> feet). <br /> • Zip ties <br /> • Extension cord—one per sample pump <br /> • Ground fault circuit interrupter(GFCI)—one per extension cord <br /> • Nitrile gloves <br /> • Chain-of-custody(COC)form <br /> • Sample collection form (Attachment B) <br /> • Camera (if photography is permitted at sampling locations) <br /> • General hand tools <br /> • Cart or hand truck <br /> • Hand-held weather meter(optional) <br /> • Field notebook or FieldNow°application <br /> • Outdoor Air Sampling Tag noting: "Environmental Testing—Do Not Disturb" <br /> Additional Equipment for Sub-Slab Vapor and Soil Vapor Low Volume Sampling <br /> In addition to the equipment listed above, the following equipment is required for collecting a sub-slab or soil <br /> vapor TO-10A vapor sample. <br /> • PUF absorbent tube compression fitting to connect to the sub-slab vapor or soil vapor sample assembly <br /> (typically provided by the laboratory) <br /> o If the laboratory is unable to provide the PUF absorbent tube compression fittings the following <br /> parts are needed for each sample (or equivalent): <br /> o Swagelok part# B-400-R-12—brass reducer tube fitting, 1/4-inch x 3/4-inch tube <br /> o Swagelok part# B-1410-6-12 - brass reducing union, 7/8-inch x 3/4-inch tube OD <br /> o Swagelok part#T-1413-1 and T-1414-1 —7/8-inch Teflon ferrule set <br /> • 1 Sub-slab vapor assembly per sample location with components list below. Typically soil vapor probes have <br /> permanent sample assemblies that do not need to be construction prior to each sampling event. <br /> 0 1: 1/4-inch stainless steel ball valve with compression fittings <br /> o 3: 1/4-inch stainless steel compression nuts <br /> 0 3: 1/4-inch stainless steel front and back compression ferrules <br /> o 24-inches: 1/4-inch outer diameter(OD)Teflon®, Teflon®lined, or Nylaflow tubing <br /> 0 8-inches: 1/4-inch ID silicone tubing <br /> Printed copies of this Technical Guidance Instruction are uncontrolled.
