This is due to limited <br /> space between the west side of the station and the existing property line . There are (3 ) vehicles/apparatus ' that total a value of <br /> over 1 M dollars that will be stored under the proposed carport, the largest of the three has an overall width of over 8 ' wide and requires an <br /> additional 5 ' to 6 ' on each side for the operators to safely and properly load supplies and personnel , especially while in full fire fighting <br /> safety gear. The original plan is to provide a "type A" fire resistant wall to support the entire legnth of the carport canopy , <br /> utilizing both steel and stucco construction , another option will be building a cinderblock wall the entire length , and installing <br /> new engineered trusses on top as specified on drawings . The proposed carport will be constructed in a fashion to blend <br /> with existing building designs . A " class A" roof and fire resistant metal gutters will also be installed to provide adaquate <br /> fire protection to both properties . <br /> We also have a signed letter of permission from the adjoining property owner Mr. Felipe Lomas giving his consent to <br /> build proposed carpot alongside the existing property line .
