All violations must be corrected within specified timeframe. Violations that are classified as "MAJOR" pose an immediate threat to public health <br />and must be corrected immediately or be subject to closure pursuant to California Code of Regulations (Title 22) section 65545. <br /> #4 Safety Equipment MAJOR <br />OBSERVATIONS: The life hook is not secured to the life pole. Permanently attach the life hook to the life pole immediately <br />or face closure. <br />Corrected on site. <br />CALCODE DESCRIPTION: Safety equipment shall be provided, maintained, readily visible, and available for use. Pools shall have at <br />minimum one 12 foot fixed-length rescue pole with a permanently attached body hook and one 17-inch life ring with an attached throw <br />rope. Throw rope shall be of sufficient length to span the maximum width of the pool and shall be stored to prevent kinking or fouling. <br />(CCR 65540) <br /> #35 Flow Meters <br />OBSERVATIONS: The flowmeter for the pool is not functioning properly. Repair/replace by 2 weeks. <br />CALCODE DESCRIPTION: Flow meters shall be provided on each recirculation system and shall be installed in accordance with <br />manufacturer's specifications. (CBC 3125B) <br /> #36 Pressure and Vacuum Gauges <br />OBSERVATIONS: The pool filters lack an effluent gauge. Provide an effluent gauge by 2 weeks. <br />CALCODE DESCRIPTION: Pressure and vacuum gauges shall be provided for each pump system. (CBC 3125B) <br /> #37 Electrical Hazards <br />OBSERVATIONS: The GFCI for the pool and spa lights is improperly labeled at the breaker box (the GFCI is located on the <br />north wall of the equipment room - not on the south side in the breaker box as labeled). Properly label the GFCI today. <br />CALCODE DESCRIPTION: Electrical equipment installed in the water, walls, deck, or equipment room of a public pool shall comply with <br />California Electrical Code. (CEC 680.4) Light fixtures installed in the pool that operate at more than 15 volts shall be protected by a ground <br />fault circuit interrupter.
