Provide working pool <br /> lights within 2 weeks. <br /> CALCODE DESCRIPTION:Pools used at night shall be equipped with underwater light fixtures that provide complete illumination of the <br /> pool. When a pool is used at night,pool deck and emergency egress areas shall be provided with lighting.If underwater or deck lighting is <br /> not operational,the pool operator shall post a sign in 4-inch letters stating"NO USE OF POOL ALLOWED AFTER DARK"and shall <br /> secure the pool area and not permit any use of the pool after dark. (31156) <br /> #9 Ladders and Handrails IF <br /> OBSERVATIONS:Observed the middle ladder hand rails near diving boards as loose. Secure hand rails today. <br /> CALCODE DESCRIPTION:A means of entry and exit shall be provided at both the shallow and deep end of the pool.Ladders and <br /> handrails shall be corrosion resistant and shall be rigidly installed.At least one handrail shall extend from the deck to not less than a point <br /> above the top of the lowest step.Handrails shall be installed between 28 to 36 inches above the steps and deck. (CBC 3111 B)Pool <br /> operator shall keep ladders and handrails well maintained. (CCR 65535) <br /> #38 Filter Cleaning and Maintenance <br /> OBSERVATIONS:The influent and effluent pressure difference was greater than 10 psi. Clean/backwash filter. <br /> CALCODE DESCRIPTION:All filters shall be maintained in accordance with manufacturer's specifications. (CBC 31238)Pressure gauge <br /> located on the filter shall be marked with the clean startup reading. (CBC 31258)Each filter vessel shall be provided with valves so that it <br /> can be isolated from the recirculation system for repairs and backwashing.
