17 November 2023
Project No. 14-3154
material into 2-inch by 6-inch steel sample sleeves. The ends of the sleeves were covered
with Teflon sheets, capped, and sealed with Duct tape. All samples were labeled with
sample location, time, date, and sampler's initials and then placed in a container with
sufficient ice and transported under chain-of-custody procedure to McCampbell
Analytical, Inc. (MAI) a California Environmental Laboratory Accreditation Program
(ELAP)-certified laboratory.
The soil samples were composited 4:1 by the laboratory and analyzed for the following
constituents:
Poly-chlorinated biphenyls (PCBs) in accordance with EPA Method 8082.
Volatile organic compounds (VOCs) in accordance with EPA Method 8260B.
Title 22 metals in accordance with EPA Method 6020.
Hexavalent chromium in accordance with EPA Method 7199.
Semi-volatile organic compounds (SVOCs) including polyaromatic hydrocarbons
(PAHs) in accordance with EPA Method 8270.
Total petroleum hydrocarbons in accordance with EPA Methods 8021B/8015
The soil results indicated the material was non-hazardous. On 23 and 24 February 2021,
all three soil stockpiles (SP-1 through SP-3) were transported and properly disposed of
at Waste Management’s Altamont Landfill & Resource Recovery Facility in Livermore,
California. Based on landfill weight tickets, approximately 4,343.09 tons of soil were
disposed. The stockpile soil analytical laboratory report is included in Appendix A and
copies of the landfill weight tickets are provided in Appendix B.
Based on the above information, AGI recommends the glass disposal investigation at
500 East Louise Avenue, Lathrop, California be considered for closure (Geotracker
Global ID T10000007151). Additionally, since the WU1 capped landfill area that extended
onto Parcel A has been removed and verification samples results were below appropriate
screening levels, AGI recommends clean closure of WU1.
If you have any questions or require any further information, please contact our office at
(800) 511-9300.
Sincerely,
AdvancedGeo, Inc.
Brian W.
