15 May 2019
AGE Project No. 14-3002
Glass processing waste was encountered in the following borings and approximate
depths:

• B9 between 3.8 and 4.5 feet bsg.
• B16 and B19 between 4.0 and 12.0 feet bsg.
• B18 between 4.5 and 9.0 feet bsg.
• B20 between 2.5 and 12.0 feet bsg.
• B21 between 2.5 and 4.0 feet bsg.
• B35 between 8.5 and 14.5 feet bsg.
• B36 between 5.0 and 7.5 feet bsg and B41 between 5.0 and 6.0 feet bsg; 50/50
mixture of silty sand and glass waste.
• B37 between 6.5 and 9.5 feet bsg.
• B38 between 6.0 and 7.0 feet bsg.
• B40 between 5.0 and 12.5 feet bsg.

Based on the waste encountered in the above-mentioned borings, two waste cells were
identified at the site.
• Waste Cell No. 1 is located along the eastern property boundary and appears to
be an extension of the North Waste Cell formerly located at 17100 Murphy
Parkway. Waste Cell No. 1 is approximately 3,300 square feet and the limits of the
cell have been defined by borings B13, B15, B17, B21 and B22 (Figure 3).
• Waste Cell No. 2 is located beneath the southeastern area of the former power
plant. Waste Cell No. 2 is approximately 3,900 square feet and the limits of the cell
have been defined by borings B36, B39, B41 and B42 (Figures 4 and 5).

Additionally, a very limited amount of waste was encountered in boring B9 between 3.8
and 4.5 feet bsg. Waste was not encountered in B8, located approximately 10 feet west
of B9. Boring B9 is approximately 7 feet west of the property boundary with 17100 Murphy
Parkway. There is likely a small shallow pocket of glass processing waste comprising
approximately 100 to 150 square feet from the property boundary to an area just beyond
B9, but not extending to B8. Boring logs describing the wastes encountered are included
in Appendix D. The glass waste is depicted in cross-sectional view in Figures 6 through 9.

5.3. ANALYTICAL RESULTS OF SOIL SAMPLES

A total of forty-two (42) soil samples collected from borings B1 through B43 were analyzed
for one or more of the constituents listed in Section 3.3 and four (4) soil samples collected
from MW -1 through MW -4 were analyzed for the constituents listed in Section 4.3.
