(AGE) has prepared this
letter to report results of verification sampling performed in Waste Unit 1 (WU1) situated
on the far southwesterly portion of the property located at 500 East Louise Avenue,
Lathrop, California (herein referred to as "subject property" or Parcel A). We are also
requesting clarification of clean closure for the WU1 area that was removed from
Parcel A. The location of the site is illustrated in Figure 1; the excavated area, trenching
locations, and verification sample locations are illustrated in Figure 2.
Between 18 March and 25 March 2019, the capped waste area identified as WU1 was
excavated and removed from the southwesterly portion of the subject property. The WU1
area was excavated to depths between 2.5 and 5.0 feet below surface grade (bsg). One
area directly northwest of Trench -10 (T10) was excavated to approximately 6.5 feet bsg.
The final WU1 excavation area encompasses approximately 28,000 square feet
(Figure 2),
At the direction of the San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department (EHD),
fifteen (15) trenches were advanced within the excavation area on 08 and 09 April 2019
to confirm that the limits of WU1 had been removed (T1 — T15). The trenches were
excavated to depths between 5.0 and 6.5 feet below excavation grade; therefore,
trenches were excavated to depths between 7.5 and 10 feet bsg. All trenches were
excavated to native hard -pan material. No waste was encountered in any of the trenches.
A representative of the EHD was onsite and observed all excavation and trenching
activities.
837 Shaw Road • Stockton, CA 95215
Telephone 1800) 571-9300 • Fax (888) 445-8786
An Employer -Owned Company
