(C) On and after October 1, 2018, for service technicians conducting spill container testing pursuant to section 2637.1, <br />this training and certification may be obtained through the manufacturer of the spill container being tested or through <br />the developer of the testing equipment or test method being used in accordance with section 2637.1(b). <br />(D) For service technicians conducting overfill prevention equipment inspections pursuant to section 2637.2, this training <br />and certification may be obtained through the manufacturer of the overfill prevention equipment being inspected or <br />through the developer of the inspection method being used, in accordance with 2637.2(b). <br />(E) In the event that no training or certification exists that would satisfy the criteria of subparagraph (A), (8), (C), or (D) <br />above, the local agency may approve comparable alternate training or certification. <br />(3) Renew all training and certifications issued by the manufacturer, through completion of a manufacturer's refresher <br />course, at the time interval recommended by the manufacturer, or every 36 months, whichever is shorter. <br />Stacy Rivera <br />Lead Sr. Registered Environmental Health Specialist <br />San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department <br />1868 E. Kettleman Ln., Lodi - 2024 Compliance <br />Good Morning Stacy <br />Sounds like there is a bit of an issue on site today. <br />The tech has the PEI 1200 for the test procedure. It was taken in May 2021. There is no expiration on the cert and the <br />inspector is saying it has to be done with in 3 years? If there is no expiration on PEI how are we to know what your <br />regulation is? <br />Also, we haven't been able to get into a Xerxes class yet. We are looking into that now. <br />This tech has been a tester for about 15 years and knows his stuff. <br />Are we able to just take care of the annular test? So we can close this out and it not continue to drag on? <br />
