Site Health and Safety Plan <br />19133 East Liberty Road, Clements, California <br />August 16, 2022 <br />Page 30 <br /> <br />Sharp Environmental Technologies, Inc. <br />• Subcontractors retained by SET who are not otherwise under the direction and control of SET <br />are required to hold their own tailgate safety meetings, but they are encouraged to also attend <br />and participate in the aforementioned SET tailgate safety meetings. <br />9.5 Safety Inspections <br />The SHSS will conduct a safety inspection of the work site before each day’s activities to verify <br />compliance with the requirements of the SHSP. All issues of noncompliance must be addressed and <br />immediately corrected, if possible. <br />9.6 Posting Requirements <br />The following information will be posted if applicable or will be readily available onsite: <br />• OSHA poster; <br />• Proposition 65 Notification; <br />• Emergency phone numbers; and <br />• Directions to the nearest hospital. <br />9.7 Required Site Safety Equipment <br />Safety equipment items required onsite include the following: <br />• A multi-class fire extinguisher. If the travel distance to the extinguisher from any point in the <br />site where work is in progress is greater than 50 feet (15.3 m), then additional fire extinguishers <br />will be furnished and strategically located so that the travel distance does not exceed 50 feet. <br />Subcontractor employees will be provided appropriate training regarding the use of fire <br />extinguishers and the hazards involved with incipient stage firefighting. <br />• A portable emergency eyewash station if eye hazards are present; <br />• First-aid kit; <br />• Bottle of wash water; <br />• Construction tape, barriers, portable fencing etc. to delineate work zone; <br />• Spill containment equipment; <br />• Decontamination equipment; and, <br />• A vehicle will be kept onsite when personnel are working for the transport of slightly injured <br />personnel to the hospital. Severely injured personnel must only be transported by paramedics. <br />9.8 Hazard Communication Program <br />All SET employees who may be exposed to hazardous chemicals in the workplace must be provided <br />training and education regarding these hazards. The hazardous communication program provides <br />information about hazardous substances and their control in the workplace. A list identifying the <br />current hazardous chemicals present in the workplace will be kept onsite along with the corresponding <br />material safety data sheet for each chemical.
