Load Checks of Incoming Yardwaste and Recyclables: <br />Each load of incoming yardwaste and recyclables to the Forward R&R is inspected and if any <br />prohibited materials or wastes such as hazardous or regulated wastes are observed, those <br />materials are segregated and handled / disposed of as required. In 2017 zero (0) loads of <br />yardwaste and/or recyclables were rejected. <br />Complaints: <br />In 2017 there were no complaints received from the public regarding the Forward R&R facility <br />operations. <br />Special Occurrences: <br />One special occurrence, on July 22, 2017, a pile of yardwaste was observed by Forward site <br />security to be smoldering. The Forward Operations Manager was contacted, who then in turn <br />contacted the Lathrop -Manteca Fire Department and a crew of Forward landfill operators. The <br />landfill operators applied water and spread the smoldering yardwaste while the Fire <br />Department monitored the situation.
