Compostable Materials Handling Operation and Facility Inspection <br /> Report ( 93 ) <br /> Forward Resource Recovery Facility ( 39 -AA- 0020 ) <br /> 2 / 17/2023 <br /> B . Submit an annual report summarizing all reporting requirements to the LEA . <br /> Inspection Report Comments <br /> 1 . The front gate to the property is damaged . Per operator, the gate is in working condition <br /> and a chain is applied for extra reinforcement to prevent unauthorized access to the facility . <br /> Quotes are currently being accepted for the repair of the gate . <br /> 2 . Dust was controlled by utilizing the water truck . <br /> 3 . The following temperatures were measured during the inspection : <br /> - Incoming green waste was 72 ° F . <br /> - Ground green waste was 116 ° F . <br /> - Biomulch was 114 ° F . <br /> - Windrows ranged from 132 ° F to 137 ° F . <br /> - Finished compost was 124 ° F . <br /> - Finished product was 134 ° F . <br /> - Overs were 92 ° F . <br /> 4 . Minimal amount of litter observed on neighboring properties . Staff observed picking up litter <br /> on site . <br /> 5 . The weather during the inspection was 46 ° F with a wind speed of 6 mph . <br /> 6 . Odor was moderate and flies were not observed . <br /> 7 . Operator informed of the thick layer of compost between the windrows . <br /> 8 .
