JP 44
Subbotnikova, Natalia
From: Evan Wahl <ewahl@harvestpower.com>
Sent: Tuesday, April 16, 2019 12:15 PM
To: Subbotnikova, Natalia
Cc: George Azevedo
Subject: Confirmation of phone call and plan
Importance: High
Hi Natalia,
Per your request for an e-mailed material removal plan following your phone call this morning with our Lathrop site
manager George, please see below.
As George explained, in 2017, Harvest Power California (HPC) moved some excess green waste material to a site in
Stanislaus County on Sierra View Drive in Oakdale, with the landowner's permission. The landowner has most of the
material stockpiled (estimated to be between 1,000 and 2,000 tons) and would like it removed. HPC has started some
discussions with the DA's office about the management of this material, and they have agreed that we can reach out to
you as the LEA to work out a plan that is acceptable to you.
HPC intends to return the material back to our Lathrop composting facility for processing (the landowner has agreed to
this). HPC's plan is to use a front-end loader and a contract trucking company to move the material back to our Lathrop
site where we can properly process it. During this process, we will coordinate inbound material so as not to exceed our
total daily permitted limitation of 500 tons of inbound material. Based on this, we estimate that the material will be
returned to the Lathrop site over a period of 2-3 weeks. When HPC has completed the project, we will notify you.
Please let us know of your agreement to the plan described above. Once received, HPC will finalize the approval of the
landowner, and once this is obtained will begin removing the material for shipment back to its Lathrop facility for
processing. In the unlikely event there is any material encountered that cannot be used for composting, that material
will be sent to a landfill for disposal
Look forward to hearing back. Thank you Natalia.
Eva n
Evan Wahl I HARVEST
Senior Director of Operations, California
1616 W.
