Compostable Materials Handling Operation and Facility Inspection <br /> Report ( 93 ) <br /> Central Valley Compost (39-AA-0051 ) <br /> 1 / 18/2023 <br /> NOTES : <br /> 1 . The previous violations for 14 CCR 17868 . 3 ( a ) - Pathogen Levels Exceeded , 14 CCR <br /> 17869 (f) ( 1 ) - Pathogen Reduction Methods and 14 CCR 17854 - Compostable Materials <br /> Handling Facility Permit <br /> has been corrected . The November 2022 reports indicated state minimum standards were <br /> met for pathogen reduction , pathogen levels and maximum tonnage . <br /> 2 . The track out was light and flies were not observed . <br /> 3 . Odor and litter on site were moderate . <br /> 4 . The following temperatures were measured during the inspection : <br /> - Raw green waste was 80 ° F . <br /> - Ground green waste was 112 ° F . <br /> - Windrows ranged from 132 ° F to 148 ° F . <br /> - Finished product was 92 ° F <br /> - Biosoil was 68 ° F <br /> - Overs were 80 ° F <br /> 5 . The weather during the inspection was 40 ° F with a wind speed of 4 mph . <br /> 6 . Ponding observed on various areas of the site due to recent rain events . A Grainger sump <br /> pump has been purchased for the site , per operator. <br /> 7 . A thick layer of compost observed on the padded area under the finished product and <br /> windrows . Operator stated the material will be removed . <br /> 8 .
