The proposed /-T Zone C/assification designation provides for /ocations for the transfer of goods from /ergs freight trucks and trains to sma//er/oca/ distribution tructcs or to conso/idate sma// /oads to /arga freight trucKs and trains for delivery to distant /ocations, and for the storage and transfer of uncontained materia/s. The under/ying projects for trucK terming/s are compatib/a uses that are a//owed in the /-T zone under Chapter 3.� Community Oava/opment Element, TzcK Terming/s (//T), page 3.7-53., of Po/icy Document Part 3: Goa/s and Policies of the San Joaquin County 2035 Genera/P/an and will not create any industrial waste or hazards. Tha /ocation is one- ha/f mi/e from /ntetstate 5 Highway interchange and Basi/y accassib/a for trucK transportation /and uses and will a/so provide additions/ opportunities for businesses in San Joaquin County whi/e maintaining the intent of the Genera/P/an Goa/LU-6, which is to promote the development ofnaw Industria/and employment uses in the unincorporated areas of the County that are compatib/e with surrounding/and uses and meet the present and future needs of County residents The proposed amendment has been reviewed in compliance with the requirements of the California Environmental Quality Act.
