Compostable Materials Handling Operation and Facility Inspection <br /> Report ( 93 ) <br /> Forward Resource Recovery Facility ( 39-AA-0020 ) <br /> 4/ 19/2023 <br /> 2 . The front gate to the property is damaged . Per operator , the gate is in working condition <br /> and a chain is applied for extra reinforcement to prevent unauthorized access to the facility . <br /> Quotes are currently being accepted for the repair of the gate . <br /> 3 . A heavy layer of padding observed under the ground green waste . Operator informed to <br /> decrease the amount of padding . <br /> 4 . According to the operator, the overs will be reprocessed and used for biomulch . <br /> 5 . The following temperatures were measured during the inspection : <br /> - Incoming green waste was 110 ° F . <br /> - Ground green waste ranged from 128 ° F to 142 ° F . <br /> - Windrows ranged from 142 ° F to 162 ° F . <br /> - Biomulch was 144 ° F . <br /> - Finished compost ranged from 124 ° F to 141 OF . <br /> - Finished product was 98 ° F . <br /> - Overs were 76 ° F . <br /> 6 . Flies were not observed . Fly bait stations were utilized . <br /> 7 . The weather during the inspection was 56 ° F with a wind speed of 11 mph . <br /> 8 . Odor was moderate . <br /> 9 . Records were reviewed and they are meeting state minimum standards . <br /> 10 .
