Provide a corrective action statement to the San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department <br /> within 30 days. <br /> This is a Class II violation. <br /> 301 CCR 66262.34(d)(2) Facility not maintained to minimize the release of a hazardous waste. <br /> OBSERVATION: The pump connected to the aboveground petroleum storage tanks was found leaking oil and/or <br /> diesel. Staining was observed around the pump and rags soiled with leaked material were also present. <br /> REGULATION GUIDANCE:A hazardous waste generator must maintain and operate its facility to minimize the <br /> possibility of a fire, explosion, or any unplanned sudden or non-sudden release of hazardous waste or hazardous <br /> waste constituents to air, soil, or surface water which could threaten human health or the environment. <br /> CORRECTIVE ACTION: Immediately clean all waste and dispose of in a properly labeled and compatible container. <br /> Manage the waste according to Title 22 California Code of Regulations for hazardous waste. Submit a statement <br /> and supporting documentation to the San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department describing the storage <br /> and final disposition of the cleaned up waste. <br /> This is a Class II violation. <br /> Overall Inspection Comments: <br /> An inspection report was provided to the facility operator on the day of inspection.
