Obtain an Insignia from the State Housing and Community Development prior to EHD <br /> inspection. Their phone number is 916-255-2501. <br /> 2. Entrance doors to food preparation area and service openings shall be self-closing. <br /> (CRFC Section 114303) <br /> 3. Passthrough window service openings: <br /> a. Shall be no more than 216 square inches and no less than 18 inches apart. <br /> b. Shall be covered with solid material or screen. If screen is used it must be at least <br /> 16-mesh per inch. (CRFC Section 114259.2) <br /> 4 Light bulbs and tubes shall be covered and completely enclosed in plastic safety shields <br /> or the equivalent. (CRFC Section 114323) <br /> 5. Mechanical exhaust ventilation equipment shall be provided over all cooking equipment <br /> as required to effectively remove cooking odors, smoke, steam, grease, heat, and vapors. <br /> All mechanical exhaust ventilation equipment shall be installed and maintained in <br /> accordance with the California Mechanical Code. Makeup air shall be provided the rate <br /> of that exhausted [CRFC §114149.1] <br /> 6. Equipment (fryers) shall be equipped with positive closing lids that are fitted with a secure <br /> latch mechanism that will prevent excessive spillage of hot liquids in the interior of the <br /> 1868 E.
