All violations must be corrected within specified timeframe. Violations that are classified as "MAJOR" pose an immediate threat to public health and must be corrected immediately or be subject to closure pursuant to California Code of Regulations (Title 22) section 65545. #3 Safety Signs OBSERVATIONS: Sign lacks phone# of nearest hospital, pool capacity, and site address. Provide before pool opens. Diarrhea sign is not posted. Post before pool opens. CALCODE DESCRIPTION: Pool operator shall keep safety signs well maintained. (CCR 65535) Safety signs shall have clearly legible letters or numbers not less than 4 inches high, unless otherwise specified. Safety signs shall be affixed to a wall, pole, gate, or similar permanent structure in a location visible to all pool users, unless otherwise specified. (CBC 3120B) #4 Safety Equipment OBSERVATIONS: Life ring lacks a rope. Provide by opening day . CALCODE DESCRIPTION.. Safety equipment shall be provided, maintained, readily visible, and available for use. Pools shall have at minimum one 12 foot fixed-length rescue pole with a permanently attached body hook and one 17-inch life ring with an attached throw rope. Throw rope shall be of sufficient length to span the maximum width of the pool and shall be stored to prevent kinking or fouling. (CCR 65540) #5 Restrooms and Showers OBSERVATIONS: Rest rooms lack soap and towels. Provide by opening day. CALCODE DESCRIPTION: Pool operator shall ensure the following facilities are maintained and kept clean: showers, toilets, dressing facilities, drinking fountains, diaper-changing stations, floors, walls, partitions, doors, and lockers. Showers (except outside) shall be provided with soap in dispensers. Toilet facilities shall be provided with toilet tissue, hand soap, and paper towels or hot air blowers in permanently installed dispensers. Pool operator shall provide a minimum of one waste receptacle in each toilet facility. Wooden slats, duckboards and footbaths are prohibited. ( CCR 65535, 6555/) Showers and lavatories shall be provided with hot and cold water faucets. Maximum water temperature at showers and lavatories shall not exceed 110*F. (CBC 3116B) #7 Pool Deck OBSERVATIONS: One coping stone is chipped. Seal/fill in by opening day. CALCODE DESCRIPTION: An unobstructed 4-foot wide deck of concrete or like material shall be provided and maintained flush with the top of the pool coping. Deck shall extend completely around the pool and shall further extend 4 feet on both sides and to the rear of any diving board, ADA device, or slide.
