All violations must be corrected within specified timeframe. Violations that are classified as "MAJOR" pose an immediate threat to public health <br />and must be corrected immediately or be subject to closure pursuant to California Code of Regulations (Title 22) section 65545. <br />#11 Combined Chlorine Concentration <br />OBSERVATIONS: Combined chlorine is at 0.6. Provide combined chlorine at below 0.4 within 2 days. <br />CALCODE DESCRIPTION: Pool operator shall maintain combined chlorine concentration below 0.4 ppm. (CCR 65530) Chemical quality <br />of pool water and indoor air quality at the pool site shall not cause adverse physiological effects, such as irritation of the eyes, lungs, or <br />skin. (CCR 65531) <br />#12 pH Level <br />OBSERVATIONS: pH is at 8.0. Provide at 7.2-7.7.8. One cup muriatic acid added. pH now to low. Ok, corrected, 4 oz soda <br />ash added pH now at 7.2 <br />CALCODE DESCRIPTION: Pool operator shall maintain pH between 7.2 and 7.8. (CCR 65530) <br />#15 Operation Records <br />OBSERVATIONS: Spa chemical logs are lacking. Begin logs today. <br />CALCODE DESCRIPTION: Pool operator shall test the disinfectant residual, pH, and spa water temperature a minimum of once per day. <br />Cyanuric acid concentration shall be tested once per month if cyanuric acid is used. Combined chlorine shall be tested as often as <br />necessary to maintain the concentration below 0.4 ppm. Pool operator shall maintain written records of all maintenance and test results <br />for at least two years and shall submit those records to the enforcement agency upon request. (CCR 65523) <br />#18 Pool Shell and Tile <br />OBSERVATIONS: Spa shell has a few spots that are chipping. Repair so smooth by next season. <br />CALCODE DESCRIPTION: Pool shells shall be white and have a smooth waterproof interior finish that will withstand repeated brushing, <br />and scrubbing. A spa pool may be finished in a light color other than white when approved by the enforcement agency. (CBC 31088) <br />#22 Skimmer Assembly <br />OBSERVATIONS: Small o-ring is lacking for skimmer. Provide 0-ring within 2 days. <br />CALCODE DESCRIPTION: Pool shall be equipped to provide continuous skimming of the pool water. All parts of the skimmer shall be <br />maintained in accordance with manufacturer specifications.
