All violations must be corrected within specified timeframe. Violations that are classified as "MAJOR" pose an immediate threat to public <br />health and must be corrected immediately or be subiect to closure pursuant to California Code of Reaulations (Title 221 section 65545. <br />#10 Disinfectant Residual MAJOR <br />OBSERVATIONS: Free chlorine at 10.8ppm. Facility corrected it to 8.4ppm chlorine. Maintain between 3-10ppm. <br />CALCODE DESCRIPTION: Public pools, when open or in use, shall be disinfected continuously by approved chemicals and shall <br />maintain the following concentrations: 1.0 ppm to 10.0 ppm free chlorine without cyanuric acid, 2.0 ppm to 10.0 ppm free chlorine with <br />cyanuric acid or 2.0 ppm bromine. Spas, wading pools, and spray grounds shall maintain the following concentrations: 3.0 ppm to 10.0 <br />ppm free chlorine or 4.0 ppm bromine. (CCR 65529) <br />#2 Pool Enclosure <br />OBSERVATIONS: Fence has a large gap from the bottom of the fence to the ground at greater than 2 inches (by pool room). <br />Back fill or provide a permanent barrier. <br />CALCODE DESCRIPTION: Pool area shall be enclosed by one or more of the following: a fence, portion of a building, wall, or other <br />approved durable enclosure. Pool enclosure shall be constructed over a hard permanent material equivalent to concrete and shall be <br />installed no more than 2 inches above the finished grade. Holes, gaps, or openings in the enclosure shall not allow the passage of a <br />4-inch diameter sphere. Doors, openable windows, or gates of living quarters shall not be permitted as part of the pool enclosure. (CBC <br />3119B) Pool operator shall keep the pool enclosure well maintained. (CCR 65535) Pool enclosure shall have a minimum effective <br />perpendicular height of 5 feet and shall be constructed so that it cannot be climbed by small children. Horizontal members shall be <br />spaced at least 48 inches apart. No planters or other climbable structures shall be permitted within 5 feet of the pool enclosure or within <br />a 5-foot arc. Chain link openings shall not be larger than 1 3/4 inches when measured horizontally. Pool enclosures with a height of 4 or <br />more feet are allowed if the enclosure was constructed prior to July 1994. (CBC 3119B) <br />#3 Safety Signs <br />OBSERVATIONS: Provide 'keep closed' sign on gate and 'diarrhea' sign in the front area. Correct today. Corrected. <br />Provide capacity sign for wade pool. Correct today. <br />CALCODE DESCRIPTION: Pool operator shall keep safety signs well maintained. (CCR 65535) Safety signs shall have clearly legible <br />letters or numbers not less than 4 inches high, unless otherwise specified. Safety signs shall be affixed to a wall, pole, gate, or similar <br />permanent structure in a location visible to all pool users, unless otherwise specified.
