SAN JOAQUIN <br /> Environmental Health Department <br />Time In 1.30 pm <br />Time Out: 2:30 pm <br />Swimming Pool Official Inspection Report <br />Name of Facility: ELM WEST COA Date: 07/01/2020 <br />Address: 2431 W ELM ST, LODI 95242 <br />Owner/Operator: ELM WEST HOMEOWNERS ASSOC Telephone: <br />Program Element: 3611 - PUBLIC POOL/SPA - PRIMARY <br />Inspection Type: ROUTINE INSPECTION - Operating Permit <br />VIOLATIONS AND CORRECTIVE ACTIONS <br />Items listed on this report as violations do not meet the requirements set forth in the California Health and Safety Code section(s) 116043, 116040, & <br />116050. All violations must be corrected within specified timeframe. Violations that are classified as "MAJOR" pose an immediate threat to public health <br />and must be corrected immediately or be subject to closure pursuant to California Code of Regulations (Title 22) section 65545. <br />#3 Safety Signs <br />OBSERVATIONS: Diarrhea signs were not located at both entrances to area of a pool. The pool operator shall post at both <br />entrance areas of a public pool, which clearly states that persons with diarrhea and persons who have had diarrhea within <br />the prior 14 days shall not enter the pool water. Correct in a week. <br />CALCODE DESCRIPTION: Pool operator shall keep safety signs well maintained. (CCR 65535) Safety signs shall have clearly legible <br />letters or numbers not less than 4 inches high, unless otherwise specified. Safety signs shall be affixed to a wall, pole, gate, or similar <br />permanent structure in a location visible to all pool users, unless otherwise specified. (CBC 31208) <br />#7 Pool Deck <br />OBSERVATIONS: Damaged coping observed near 3' depth marker. Repair / replace pool coping. Correct within one <br />month. <br />CALCODE DESCRIPTION: An unobstructed 4-foot wide deck of concrete or like material shall be provided and maintained flush with the <br />top of the pool coping. Deck shall extend completely around the pool and shall further extend 4 feet on both sides and to the rear of any <br />diving board, ADA device, or slide. (CBC 3114B) Pool operator shall keep the pool deck well maintained. (CCR 65535) <br />#14 Chemical Water Test Kit <br />OBSERVATIONS: Chemical Water Test Kit was not available on site during inspection. Provide Chemical Water Test Kit. <br />Correct immediately. <br />CALCODE DESCRIPTION: Pool operator shall maintain a test kit for measuring the disinfectant residual, combined chlorine, pH, and <br />cyanuric acid (if used) at the pool. Test kit shall be available at all times the pool is in use. Chlorine and bromine test kits shall be DPD <br />type. Chlorine test kits shall be capable of testing for free and total chlorine, so that combined chlorine concentrations can be determined. <br />(CCR 65529) <br />#15 Operation Records <br />OBSERVATIONS: Operational records were not available on site during time of inspection. Provide/create operational <br />records and maintain daily while pool is open to the public. Correct immediately. <br />CALCODE DESCRIPTION: Pool operator shall test the disinfectant residual, pH, and spa water temperature a minimum of once per day. <br />Cyanuric acid concentration shall be tested once per month if cyanuric acid is used. Combined chlorine shall be tested as often as <br />necessary to maintain the concentration below 0.4 ppm. Pool operator shall maintain written records of all maintenance and test results <br />for at least two years and shall submit those records to the enforcement agency upon request.
