Contact the local fire district, the San Joaquin Valley Air Pollution Control District, and the local community <br />development department for applicable permits. <br /> <br />2. Any changes from the approved UST installation packet shall be submitted to the EHD for written <br />approval prior to commencing work, including changes in contractor, equipment, system layout, <br />etc. All new submittals supersede any previous ones. <br /> <br />3. Any individual installing underground storage systems or components must possess, or work under the <br />direct and personal supervision of an individual physically present at the work site at all times while work <br />is being performed who possesses, all of the following: <br />• One of several permissible valid, current contractor licenses issued by the Contractors State <br />License Board (CSLB) <br />• A current UST Installation/Retrofitting certificate issued by the International Code Council (ICC) <br />• A valid, current certificate of training from the manufacturer(s) of the component(s) being installed <br /> <br />4. Any individual performing the work of a service technician must possess, or work under the direct and <br />personal supervision of an individual physically present at the work site at all times while work is being <br />performed who possesses, all of the following: <br />• One of several permissible valid, current contractor licenses issued by the CSLB <br />• A current California UST Service Technician certificate issued by the ICC <br />• A valid, current certificate of training from the manufacturer(s) of the component(s) being tested, or <br />the developer of the testing equipment or test method(s) being used <br /> <br />5. Individuals working under the direct supervision of a qualified UST installer or UST service technician must, <br />at a minimum, be employed by the person with the CSLB license and possess all manufacturer certificates <br />of training for the equipment on which they are working.
