Transfer/Processing Facility Inspection Report (53) <br /> Tracy Material Recovery & T.S. (39-AA-0024) <br /> 8/22/2023 <br /> Inspection Report Comments <br /> 1. Observed a food waste processing unit inside the transfer station building at the time of <br /> inspection. The food waste processing unit appears to be new and was not in use. Placing <br /> this unit into operation will constitute a significant change to the design and operation of the <br /> facility that requires a Transfer/Processing Report (TPR) amendment. Submit an TPR <br /> amendment application package to the San Joaquin County Environmental Health <br /> Department (SJCEHD) at least 180 days prior to planning to put the food waste processing <br /> unit into operation. Do not place the unit into operation until the SJCEHD approves the TPR <br /> amendment package. <br /> 2. Reviewed Log of Special Occurrences, Employee Training records, Load Check records, <br /> Daily waste tonnage and vehicle records. <br /> 3. Dust and litter observed was minimal. Controls in place. <br /> 4. Observed adequate traffic controls. <br /> 5. The eyewash and safety shower in the northwest corner of the transfer/ processing <br /> building was obstructed by equipment. The operator removed the obstructions during the <br /> inspection. Keep the eyewash and safety shower available for use at all times. <br /> 6. Typical amount of garbage on the tipping floor. Adequate throughput of incoming wastes <br /> and recyclables. <br /> 7.
