All violations must be corrected within specified timeframe. Violations that are classified as "MAJOR" pose an immediate threat to public health <br />and must be corrected immediately or be subject to closure pursuant to California Code of Regulations (Title 22) section 65545. <br />#1 Pool Gates MAJOR <br />OBSERVATIONS: Chain placed on gate interferes with self-latching. Provide self-latching. Pool is closed. <br />CALCODE DESCRIPTION: Gates and doors leading into the pool area shall be equipped with self-closing self-latching devices. <br />Self-latching devices shall be designed to keep the gate or door securely closed. Gates and doors shall open outward from the pool area <br />except where otherwise prohibited bylaw, (CBC 3119B) Pool operator shall keep gates and doors leading into the pool area well <br />maintained. (CCR 65535) <br />#12 pH Level <br /> MAJOR <br />OBSERVATIONS: pH over 8.0. Provide 7.2 to 7.8 pH. Pool is closed. <br />CALCODE DESCRIPTION: Pool operator shall maintain pH between 7.2 and 7.8. (CCR 65530) <br />#7 Pool Deck <br />OBSERVATIONS: Cracks on pool deck and full of debris. Repair and clean. <br />CALCODE DESCRIPTION: An unobstructed 4-foot wide deck of concrete or like material shall be provided and maintained flush with the <br />top of the pool coping. Deck shall extend completely around the pool and shall further extend 4 feet on both sides and to the rear of any <br />diving board, ADA device, or slide. (CBC 31148) Pool operator shall keep the pool deck well maintained. (CCR 65535) <br />#14 Chemical Water Test Kit <br />OBSERVATIONS: No test kits. Provide. <br />CALCODE DESCRIPTION: Pool operator shall maintain a test kit for measuring the disinfectant residual, combined chlorine, pH, and <br />cyanuric acid (if used) at the pool. Test kit shall be available at all times the pool is in use. Chlorine and bromine test kits shall be DPD <br />type. Chlorine test kits shall be capable of testing for free and total chlorine, so that combined chlorine concentrations can be determined. <br />(CCR 65529) <br />#15 Operation Records <br />OBSERVATIONS: No records. Maintain daily records. <br />CALCODE DESCRIPTION: Pool operator shall test the disinfectant residual, pH, and spa water temperature a minimum of once per day. <br />Cyanuric acid concentration shall be tested once per month if cyanuric acid is used. Combined chlorine shall be tested as often as <br />necessary to maintain the concentration below 0.4 ppm. Pool operator shall maintain written records of all maintenance and test results <br />for at least two years and shall submit those records to the enforcement agency upon request.
