All violations must be corrected within specified timeframe. Violations that are classified as "MAJOR" pose an immediate threat to public health <br />and must be corrected immediately or be subject to closure pursuant to California Code of Regulations (Title 22) section 65545. <br />#4 Safety Equipment MAJOR <br />OBSERVATIONS: No rope to life ring. Provide. Pool is closed until that is corrected. This is a repeat violation. <br />CALCODE DESCRIPTION: Safety equipment shall be provided, maintained, readily visible, and available for use. Pools shall have at <br />minimum one 12 foot fixed-length rescue pole with a permanently attached body hook and one 17-inch life ring with an attached throw <br />rope. Throw rope shall be of sufficient length to span the maximum width of the pool and shall be stored to prevent kinking or fouling. <br />(CC!? 65540) <br />#28 Safety Vacuum Release System MAJOR <br />OBSERVATIONS: Stingl in device box may not be working / turned on. Verify it is working and repair if it is not. Pool is <br />closed. This is a repeat violation. <br />CALCODE DESCRIPTION: Public Pools with single suction outlets that are not unblockable shall be equipped with a safety vacuum <br />release system that conforms to applicable ASME/ANSI performance standards. (CBC 31628) <br />#3 Safety Signs <br />OBSERVATIONS: No address, pool capacity, and no swimming after dark on sign. Post. <br />CALCODE DESCRIPTION: Pool operator shall keep safety signs well maintained. (CCR 65535) Safety signs shall have clearly legible <br />letters or numbers not less than 4 inches high, unless otherwise specified. Safety signs shall be affixed to a wall, pole, gate, or similar <br />permanent structure in a location visible to all pool users, unless otherwise specified. (CBC 31208) <br />#8 Pool and Deck Lighting <br />OBSERVATIONS: Pool light not working. Repair. This is a repeat violation. <br />CALCODE DESCRIPTION: Pools used at night shall be equipped with underwater light fixtures that provide complete illumination of the <br />pool. When a pool is used at night, pool deck and emergency egress areas shall be provided with lighting. If underwater or deck lighting is <br />not operational, the pool operator shall post a sign in 4-inch letters stating "NO USE OF POOL ALLOWED AFTER DARK" and shall <br />secure the pool area and not permit any use of the pool after dark.
