SAN .10AQUIN <br /> Environmental Health Department <br />C N Y <br />Swimming Pool Official Inspection Report <br />Facility Name and Address: MOTEL SIX, 150 NORTHWOODS AVE, MANTECA 95336 <br />#9 Ladders and Handrails <br />OBSERVATIONS: The handrails are loose. Tighten handrails within 2 days. <br />CALCODE DESCRIPTION: A means of entry and exit shall be provided at both the shallow and deep end of the pool Ladders and <br />handrails shall be corrosion resistant and shall be rigidly installed. At least one handrail shall extend from the deck to not less than a point <br />above the top of the lowest step. Handrails shall be installed between 28 to 36 inches above the steps and deck. (CBC 3111B) Pool <br />operator shall keep ladders and handrails well maintained. (CCR 65535) <br />#10 Disinfectant Residual <br />OBSERVATIONS: The initial reading for chlorine was 0. Maintenance person added bleach. Rechecked chlorine about 30 <br />minutes after adding bleach and measured chlorine at 8.4 ppm. <br />Corrected on site. <br />CALCODE DESCRIPTION: Public pools, when open or in use, shall be disinfected continuously by approved chemicals and shall maintain <br />the following concentrations: 1.0 ppm to 10.0 ppm free chlorine without cyanuric acid, 2.0 ppm to 10.0 ppm free chlorine with cyanuric acid <br />or 2.0 ppm bromine. Spas, wading pools, and spray grounds shall maintain the following concentrations: 3.0 ppm to 10.0 ppm free <br />chlorine or 4.0 ppm bromine.
