All violations must be corrected within specified timeframe. Violations that are classified as "MAJOR" pose an immediate threat to public health <br />and must be corrected immediately or be subject to closure pursuant to California Code of Regulations (Title 22) section 65545. <br />#10 Disinfectant Residual MAJOR <br />OBSERVATIONS: Free chlorine is 1.6ppm. Provide free chlorine 3ppm - 1Oppm today. <br />CALCODE DESCRIPTION: Public pools, when open or in use, shall be disinfected continuously by approved chemicals and shall maintain <br />the following concentrations: 1.0 ppm to 10.0 ppm free chlorine without cyanuric acid, 2.0 ppm to 10.0 ppm free chlorine with cyanuric acid <br />or 2.0 ppm bromine. Spas, wading pools, and spray grounds shall maintain the following concentrations: 3.0 ppm to 10.0 ppm free <br />chlorine or 4.0 ppm bromine. (CCR 65529) <br />#25 Spa Emergency Shut Off Switch <br /> MAJOR <br />OBSERVATIONS: Emergency shut off switch is not functioning properly with very weak water jets. Repair and install ideal <br />shut off switch to the spa in 2 weeks. <br />CALCODE DESCRIPTION: A clearly labeled emergency shut off switch for both the spa recirculation and jet/aeration systems shall be <br />installed adjacent to the spa pool. (CBC 3138B) <br />#3 Safety Signs <br />OBSERVATIONS: "Keep gate closed" sign and active diarrhea sign are not posted to the accessing gates. Post signs in 1 <br />week. <br />CALCODE DESCRIPTION: Pool operator shall keep safety signs well maintained. (CCR 65535) Safety signs shall have clearly legible <br />letters or numbers not less than 4 inches high, unless otherwise specified. Safety signs shall be affixed to a wall, pole, gate, or similar <br />permanent structure in a location visible to all pool users, unless otherwise specified. (CBC 3120B) <br />#9 Ladders and Handrails <br />OBSERVATIONS: Double hand rail is loose. Fix in 1 week. <br />CALCODE DESCRIPTION: A means of entry and exit shall be provided at both the shallow and deep end of the pool. Ladders and <br />handrails shall be corrosion resistant and shall be rigidly installed. At least one handrail shall extend from the deck to not less than a point <br />above the top of the lowest step. Handrails shall be installed between 28 to 36 inches above the steps and deck. (CBC 3111B) Pool <br />operator shall keep ladders and handrails well maintained.
