All violations must be corrected within specified timeframe. Violations that are classified as "MAJOR" pose an immediate threat to public health <br />and must be corrected immediately or be subject to closure pursuant to California Code of Regulations (Title 22) section 65545. <br />#10 Disinfectant Residual MAJOR <br />OBSERVATIONS: No chlorine was detected in the spa. Bring chlorine level to 3.0- 10.0 ppm immediately. <br />CLOSURE CONDITION <br />CALCODE DESCRIPTION: Public pools, when open or in use, shall be disinfected continuously by approved chemicals and shall maintain <br />the following concentrations: 1.0 ppm to 10.0 ppm free chlorine without cyanuric acid, 2.0 ppm to 10.0 ppm free chlorine with cyanuric acid <br />or 2.0 ppm bromine. Spas, wading pools, and spray grounds shall maintain the following concentrations: 3.0 ppm to 10.0 ppm free <br />chlorine or 4.0 ppm bromine. (OCR 65529) <br />#12 pH Level <br /> MAJOR <br />OBSERVATIONS: The pH of the spa is greater than 8.0. Reduce to 7.2 - 7.8 immediately. <br />CLOSURE CONDITION <br />CALCODE DESCRIPTION: Pool operator shall maintain pH between 7.2 and 7.8. (OCR 65530) <br />#4 Safety Equipment <br />OBSERVATIONS: No life ring and rope available in pool area. Immediately obtain life ring and rope. <br />Body hook is available. <br />CORRECTED ON SITE <br />CALCODE DESCRIPTION: Safety equipment shall be provided, maintained, readily visible, and available for use. Pools shall have at <br />minimum one 12 foot fixed-length rescue pole with a permanently attached body hook and one 17-inch life ring with an attached throw <br />rope.
