All violations must be corrected within specified timeframe. Violations that are classified as "MAJOR" pose an immediate threat to public health <br />and must be corrected immediately or be subject to closure pursuant to California Code of Regulations (Title 22) section 65545. <br />#10 Disinfectant Residual MAJOR <br />OBSERVATIONS: Chlorine level was low at 1.0 ppm. Pool service added chlorine and now level is over 10 ppm. Close pool <br />and do not re-open until level is between 3.0-10.0 ppm <br />CALCODE DESCRIPTION: Public pools, when open or in use, shall be disinfected continuously by approved chemicals and shall maintain <br />the following concentrations: 1.0 ppm to 10.0 ppm free chlorine without cyanuric acid, 2.0 ppm to 10.0 ppm free chlorine with cyanuric acid <br />or 2.0 ppm bromine. Spas, wading pools, and spray grounds shall maintain the following concentrations: 3.0 ppm to 10.0 ppm free <br />chlorine or 4.0 ppm bromine. (CCR 65529) <br />#12 pH Level <br /> <br />MAJOR <br />OBSERVATIONS: pH level was under 7.0. Pool service added soda ash and now level is too high. Maintain between <br />7.2-7.8. Close pool until level is acceptable. <br />CALCODE DESCRIPTION: Pool operator shall maintain pH between 7.2 and 7.8. (CCR 65530) <br />#7 Pool Deck <br />OBSERVATIONS: There are gaps between the coping stones and the deck. Grout by April 2019 <br />CALCODE DESCRIPTION: An unobstructed 4-foot wide deck of concrete or like material shall be provided and maintained flush with the <br />top of the pool coping. Deck shall extend completely around the pool and shall further extend 4 feet on both sides and to the rear of any <br />diving board, ADA device, or slide. (CBC 3114B) Pool operator shall keep the pool deck well maintained. (CCR 65535) <br />#17 Cleanliness of Pool <br />OBSERVATIONS: Pool walls have green algae. Remove by 2 days. <br />CALCODE DESCRIPTION: Pool operator shall maintain clean pool water while the pool is in use and shall not allow debris to accumulate <br />in the pool. Pool operator shall clean the bottom, sides, and other surfaces of the pool as often as necessary to keep pool surfaces clean <br />and free of slime and algae.
