AD violations must be corrected within specified timeframe. Provide, today. Shall be pool's width. <br />CALCODE DESCRIPTION: Safety equipment shall be provided, maintained, readily visible, and available for use. Pools shall have at <br />minimum one 12 foot fixed-length rescue pole with a permanently attached body hook and one 17-inch life ring with an attached throw <br />rope. Throw rope shall be of sufficient length to span the maximum width of the pool and shall be stored to prevent kinking or fouling. <br />(CCR 65540) <br />#9 Ladders and Handrails <br />OBSERVATIONS: Shallow hand rail is loose. Tighten by 2 weeks. <br />CAL CODE DESCRIPTION: A means of entry and exit shall be provided at both the shallow and deep end of the pool. Ladders and <br />handrails shall be corrosion resistant and shall be rigidly installed. At least one handrail shall extend from the deck to not less than a point <br />above the top of the lowest step. Handrails shall be installed between 28 to 36 inches above the steps and deck. (CBC 3111B) Pool <br />operator shall keep ladders and handrails well maintained. (CCR 65535) <br />#28 Safety Vacuum Release System <br />OBSERVATIONS: Secondary device was removed. Pool service in the process of re-installation. <br />NOTE: Device was re- installed between 10:30- 11:00 <br />CAL CODE DESCRIPTION: Public Pools with single suction outlets that are not unblockable shall be equipped with a safety vacuum <br />release system that conforms to applicable ASME/ANSI performance standards.
