All violations must be corrected within specified timeframe. Violations that are classified as "MAJOR" pose an immediate threat to public health <br />and must be corrected immediately or be subject to closure pursuant to California Code of Regulations (Title 22) section 65545. <br />OVERALL INSPECTION NOTES AND COMMENTS <br />NOTES <br />Pool remodel inspection <br />Main are split- 2 aquastar A1ORCFR covers to be intalled <br />Hand rail must be 28 inches to 36 inches from the bottom step and the deck to the top of the rail. <br />31146.3 Deck slope. The pool's deck surface shall have a slope of no less than 1 percent (1/8 inch per foot) but no more than <br />2 percent (1/4 inch per foot) away from the pool to a deck drainage system and shall be constructed and finished to prevent <br />standing water. <br />3114B.4 Deck covering. Deck coverings or other materials that are not equivalent to concrete in strength, durability and slip <br />resistance and are not able to withstand repeated brushing, scrubbing or cleaning procedures shall not be installed or used <br />within 4 feet (1219 mm) of the pool. Fencing shall be a minimum of 5 feet high. Openings, holes or gaps in the enclosure, <br />doors and/or gates shall not allow the passage of a 4-inch diameter sphere. The enclosure shall be constructed over a hard <br />and permanent material equivalent to concrete: and shall be designed and constructed so that it cannot be readily climbed by <br />small children. Horizontal and diagonal member designs which might serve as a ladder for small children are prohibited. <br />Horizontal members' shall be spaced at least 48 inches apart. No planter or other structures that can be climbed shall be <br />permitted within 5 feet of the outside of the pool enclosure or within a 5 foot arc. Gates and doors shall be equipped with <br />self-closing and self-latching devices to keep them securely closed. Gates and doors shall open outwardly away from the pool <br />except where otherwise prohibited by law. Hand activated door or gate opening hardware shall be located at a height no lower <br />than 42 inches but no higher than 44 inches above the deck or walkway. The pool enclosure shall have a least one means of <br />egress without a key for emergency purposes. Gates shall meet 3119B.2 of California Building Code, Title 24. <br />Must comply with the above requirements. <br />Provide this department with the ab1020 form <br />Ok to plaster <br />The person in charge is responsible for ensuring that the above mentioned facility is in compliance with all applicable sections of the California Health and <br />Safety Code.
